Our Technology
YETI is a purely web-based system, and requires no additional hardware. The application is installed on a central server which can then be accessed by any computer which has access to the internet. There is no local installation of any kind and the software does not rely on any third party connectivity software.
- Twice yearly system updates in line with the LSC changes provided as a part of the support contract and with no extra costs.
- Totally flexible accessibility to the system - all you need is a web browser.
- Complete data security with 'internet banking level' HTTPS connection and two-factor authentication if required. No data is stored locally so the risks of compromising details are greatly reduced.
- There are two options for the installation of the system. It can either be hosted internally by the client or we can host the system on our own hosting provision.
Our Approach
Although statutory reports and exports are standard, we know that no two organisations work in exactly the same way. Our aim with YETI then is to provide an off the shelf product that has the capability to provide you with tailored functionality to fit with your individual requirements.
Custom Forms can be created from scratch and user-defined fields can be tailored to the terminology you are familiar with to meet your day to day business processes.
As with all our products, the system is also totally web based; there is no third party software required other than a web browser. The system can be accessed from any machine and is fully zero-client meaning that no footprint is left on the machine used to access the system. This is useful when the system is accessed from machines outside of the customer’s network.
Our Experience
Cognisoft have been providing software for training providers since 1987 after we developed a system for the NJTS (New Job Training Scheme) programme.
During this time we have amassed a huge amount of industry knowledge as a result of working with private trainers, colleges, charities and local authorities and having met the requirements of all of them.
YETI has also grown to manage virtually every aspect of a training provider's business including; claims, payroll, NVQ Tracking, review monitoring and ad hoc record keeping. Our experience covers the needs of businesses with thousands of users, right through to the smallest of training providers.
We have continually kept up with changes required by the various funding bodies over the years to keep YETI fully compliant with the requirements of the LSC, JCP, DCELLS and Scottish Enterprise etc., whilst always including the flexibility to handle non-funded training and unique or custom contracts.
